Goodbye

entry picture

Alone with my thoughts
The breez blew you in
I thought it was love
Never knew it will hurt

We both walked together
Start the race with laughter
Peddling to keep pressure
Hoping to finish with pleasure

At the beginning it seems fair
Enjoyed moonlight sphere
But distance came and stare
The game became weird

Was foolishly blind by daffodil
Walking with daze
It must have been love
Now I see wave

Everything was written down,
Nothing is safe on sea shore
Thought the pencil is strong
Never knew an eraser could do damages

Thought she needed attention
The left chest I poured for affection
The right for protection,
Wrong was the interpretation

Little rock and roll at dawn
The night lighter than paraffin
My phone the night companion
Thought I could hold her forever,
Everything now air

Heard the sound of my phone
Beeping for already gone
Never knew it was my heart
Down, no one to lift it
My head filled, like one at war front

Thought I could rewrite everything
But I ran out of ink
Just when we were at peak
She drew the fabric.

This is an excellent poem written from the heart. It bears witness to the often transient and unpredictable nature of love or romance.

Thank you
Keith
