LET ME BE

Let me be and let me go, let me see all there is to know. Let me dream beautiful dreams of you, and let me live a life that is true. Let my mind be pure of thought, and let this sorrow be forgot. Let all of those who I've brought pain, let them be free of the sad morning rain. Let the possibilities of the future weave what it will, and let love be placed in Hearts to fill. Let the sun shine forever on, and let the past be forever gone. Let the good times be never lost, and let the bad times melt away like frost. Let the memories Never Fade Away, and let them bring us another day. Let clouds of gray turn to Skies of Blue, and let there be summer days when I think of you. Let the memories live on forever and ever, and may your heart never be severed. Let me be and let me go, for I have seen what there is to know. Let me sleep where my body May lie, but in your heart- never let me die.....

This poem is so beautiful, so hauntingly wistful that it deserves a 'love' button as opposed to a 'like ' button.

I did not recognize this was a rhyming poem at first, since it is in paragraph form. It is a forlorn poem and well titled. Loss is sometimes a necessary but keen pain.
