This Life will Pass Swiftly

No time's ever right for a closed fist fight
No doll drums the beat that can be truly neat
Know this as you wander out toward that blue yonder
All around us are brothers & some sisters & mothers
Life is a challenge that's best faced together
Lean on each other through desperate weather
Don't wait for some tragic event to awake
Reach out now to give a little more than you take
Profit from giving it's the key to it all
Nothing is nothing no matter how small
Resist those who tempt us with gold or with dollar
Stand up for the weak who can no longer holler
For as we live so shall we pay when we die
If you wish to be top dog then you will surely cry
For longer than any who can be proud they were meek
For as others have said take the pain turn the cheek
This life will pass swiftly & then you may find
All too late you regret that you never were kind
To the beggars & paupers who were not blessed like you
With choices a plenty & a house with a view

This touched me deeply for the compassion within the writing and the second stanza says a lot about human nature and busy lives.
