Little old gray-haired lady

with heavy coat and scarf

fights the elements

and her walker

trying to make it fit

she is trying to get it into her backseat

she turns it one way

then the other

trying to get it in

but it will just not fit

finally she stops

and stares at it

defeated in spirit

frustrated in her feeble attempts

we've all been there

have we not?

when something simple

will just not work

and we wonder if

we are just stupid or if

the object or machine is smarter than we are

isn't everything supposed to fit?

but pause, take a breath

we must not quit or give in

with determination and persistence 

we can get all things to fit

and turn a mistake into a miracle

our frustration into success

she ended up putting it in the trunk.

and drove away smiling.
