Isolation

entry picture

They travelled alone,

together…

In isolation…

Alone…Together..

In isolation…

Their eyes…

Vacant voices

adrift on a stare…

Hollowed spaces

filled with absurd thoughts…

With a silence that only spoke

alluring lies of self deception…

Like a big mass on the move…

left to right…

right to left…

They travelled alone,

together…

In isolation…

Man of woman’s flesh…

of woman’s blood…

Who do you think you are?

Where do you think you’d go

When there is nowhere to hide?

What do you think you have

In a world of your own creation?

He thought he knew a path…

Believed he’d find a way out…

There must be truth within every lie…

Something he made…

Surely can be undone…

So finally…

One day…

As the sun died down…

He took his money…

And together…

Travelled alone,

together…

In isolation…

Man of woman’s flesh…

of woman’s blood…

Who do you think you are?

Where do you think you’d go

When there is nowhere to hide?

What do you think you have

In a world of your own creation?

Like a bird in a cage…

Their mother earth…

screaming out her cry

begged to the moon

and glaring sun…

To set her free…

Set me free!!!

Set me free!!!

She cried…

She thought she knew a path…

Believed she’d find a way out…

There must be truth within every lie…

Something she made…

Surely can be undone…

So finally…

One day…

As the sun died down…

She took his money…

And together…

Travelled alone,

together…

In isolation…

In isolation

Thank you Martin! I particularly enjoy writing poetry to music and reciting it to make them both intertwine...Poetry...Song...I don’t mind pushing those boundaries from time to time...Although, to me, with or without music by its side, it is still heartfelt poetry...

I wasn't sure whether this was a song more than a poem, either way I love the whole creation of words music and artwork. very nicely delivered.
