Baby Bobbies

Baby Bobbies

I’ve seen a baby bobby

On his baby bobby beat,

Only maybe 5 foot tall

In baby stocking feet.

He’d got a tiny truncheon,

And a little pair of ‘cuffs.

I bet he finds it hard to run

With all his bobby stuff.

He made his way around the town,

Determined baby strides,

Deterring all the naughty boys,

This little ‘mother’s pride’.

I couldn’t say how old he was   ,

He looked no more than twelve,

The perfect size to store away

On baby bobby shelves.

But I’d rather baby bobbies

Than nobobby at all.

I’d want someone responding,

Even if they’re rather small.

Nice one Steve - I wish I'd written it. (I might pretend I have if no-one's heard it at the next York Open Mic!)

Well you know what they say about us when the policemen and teachers seem to be getting younger don't you?

Very tongue twisting poem Steve.

Topical, humorous and some clever words too. Nobobby at all is classic! Well written Steve.

Yes - they do seem to get smaller and younger everyday Steve - and what does that say about us?
I like your humour. x
