Midnight wind

Hear the midnight wind

As the neighbour laughs

He has to pretend

At least I can relax

Relax with the midnight wind

Unwind with one of my kind

Whistle and whoosh

Rustle and swoop

Lyrical midnight wind

I think I’m your friend

Feel the midnight wind

Turning off the TV

Turning itself on at evening’s end

Cold, bare and rough

Rough like the midnight wind

Unkind like one of my kind

Whistle and whoosh

Rustle and swoop

Hysterical midnight wind

I think I’m your friend

Fear the midnight wind

Even within this shelter

Flying with you around each bend

Down this helter skelter

Hell is the midnight wind

Unbind from one of my kind

Whistle and whoosh

Rustle and swoop

Manacle midnight wind

I think I’m your friend

Push on, midnight wind

Rush on to the next house

So many stops on this night of sin

So many within, so many without

Outside, the midnight wind

Find another of my kind

Whistle and whoosh

Rustle and swoop

Terrible midnight wind

I think I’m your friend

Absolutely love the image and relationship with the 'midnight wind' as a friend in your piece here Ant. Winston

Bit off a curio certainly.. It's not what you are writing nowadays certainly.. Reminds me of your stuff from a few years back, but certainly as Janet says it does have a eerie, almost surreal feel to it which is very different.. be interested in seeing how it develops..

This is quite different to your usual style Antonionioni.
I like it.
Enjoyed the rhythmic quality and the whish and whoosh rustle and swoop which gave it an eerie feel.
