Denial

Black cast the sky an ugly mood

As she faltered down the lane

That evening, that last byway

She would ever use again

As round her wrapped the weather's hand

And steered her with control

Her only mind and focus was

On what would soon console

A smile in homely sanctuary

That inviting, friendly place

The comfort and relief then found

Within a warm embrace

And with these thoughts still comforting and relief then found

Within a warm embrace

And with these thoughts still comforting

That hand felt disbelief

Her escape from moment's distress

In reality quite brief

As from behind she was held

A hopelessness prevailed

And slowly but so rapidly

Veracity unveiled

He did not speak those thousand words

That screamed at her inside

She could not fight as they implored

No matter how she tried

Her heels trailed though the lose mud tracks

She focused on her shoe

For it was lost, a treasured gift

What was she now to do

He dragged her silently away

Save groans and heavy breath

And limply and ineffectively

She resigned herself to death

How angrily she cursed herself

Rebuked her weak inaction

As struggling she came to terms

With the certainty of her action

Then in that ditch, within that copse

She whimpered to the ground

The rooks that mocked her circling

The over-riding sound

With wilted resignation came

Tacit complicity

Or so he felt, or so she thought

Such true duplicity

Their fears, emotions at the edge

As he tore at her clothes

And instantly, in slo mo time

Herself would then expose

The patterns on the bark took shape

Of faces she would know

She sought them there unconsciously

And focused to bestow

The green it rubbed against her head

Her legs becoming brown

As on the bank he forced his way

And he rocked her up and down

Her body numb, her mind aware

She fought with all her might

Where had this energy come from

To deny her to excite

And as her inner battle raged

The inferno grew intense

The rhythmic thrusts intruding her

Prevented a defence

And in emotion's cauldron of

Where right and wrong collide

She swam around so desperately

And let disgrace subside

An in an instant was embraced

A surge beyond belief

A memory to haunt her so

Through future shame and grief

And when it came it came so hard

Those textured faces stared

They judged her in her ecstasy

Though she no longer cared

As soon it came it left her then

And he once more returned

As deep inside her belly a

Raging fire burned

She shook, she fought, she wanted to

She pushed him with her fists

He just looked down and smirked at her

With that knowledge that exists

Then, just then,  forced her more

He growled and pinned her there

His last and desperate final thrusts

Filled her with dark despair

She knew and she accepted so

The ordeal should cease

She yielded to that moment then

Allowing his release.

Cheers you two, much appreciated.

Glad you enjoyed Tone; the title says it all JA!

(it actually only attracted that title as I had about 5 goes at adding a pic, failing each time, and got frustrated)
