Cage Fighting. All Good Fun

EditCage Fighting. All Good Fun

There's just been a cage fight in LA

Where one man gets beat to the ground

Men, women and children did watch it

Good fun folks, entertainment all round

Then something went wrong, rather badly

One fighter jumped out of the cage

Attacking opponents sitting ringside

Flying all sitting round to a rage

Brawls broke out inside and outside

The vision of the fight shocked enough

While one of the brawls outside ended

With a one-punch knock-out (it was rough)

Violence was no longer kept in cage

Onlookers were getting involved, getting hurt

But hey, this is all entertainment folks

Can't you ignore just a little bit of dirt?

Some people liked to share with their children

To watch and enjoy this blood sport

Where a man beats another man senseless

And everyone yells “yay” and cavorts

A cage fight is coming to Adelaide

One fighter when asked for his views

His answer was “boys will be boys mate”

(My reaction? Don't know what to say...)

Another said brawls happen everywhere

In politics and football there's rage

Just doesn't look good with an audience

Watching on a big worldwide stage

The event taking place here in Adelaide

Is being billed as a family-friendly night

The promoters are encouraging children to come

This is so bloody wrong, it's not right

This blood sport I hate, I protest at

Where one man beats another to the ground

And children are brought in for entertainment

Good values we've lost need be found

I agree, this sport seems brutal.
Especially if the audience become involved.
Good for you Don, to write about this.

Parental responsibility?! Why a parent would want to take their child is hard to understand.

I actually don't like ordinary boxing. Everything that makes us human is contained in the head and they spend up to 45 minutes trying to knock each other senseless.

In total agreement, Don.
