A Trap of Life
Preamble
I fell into this trap a few days ago prompting me to write this
How easy is it to fall
Into a trap of life?
You get so involved within yourself
And forget another's strife
You forget the value of empathy
In strengthening human ties
And stay within your own cocoon
Concocting excuses, lies

I'm not very good at empathy Don. I don't have the right words. I always get the urge to make a joke as if this will somehow lift the mood. Totally inappropriate.
