CHITTER CHATTER...SHHH

Silence is golden

but

pure solitude

is deafening

I chose to be with you

and to be with me

No need to share a roof

at our age

Your chatter can be

delightful

when I know it can be

turned off

with the close of my front door

Having mornings with

nothing but me

and the air

help me to care more for you

when days are to be filled with two

There's something wonderful

about romance

in older years

It can date back to

the time

we had a curfew

So excited to see your beau

no strings attached

just butterflies in your stomach...

Forever.

Droplets of love fill your heart, its when the butterflies start, your thoughts are very happy...makes me quite sappy!?

Mature love is the best!

Lovely poem?

Every stanza imbued this piece with a more diverse layer and more soul each successive time. Well done Lynn, it came out sounding great.?

Hi Lynn,

This is a lovely piece with superb control and authority, a lesson in balance between opening a door just so and leaving it ajar for the reader to find his or her way through it.

Whatever, I enjoyed reading it.
