Where Poetry Is Found

It’s in those moments

That make us smile whilst crying

We find poetry.

It can be found as

The sun leaves behind a sky

Made of candy floss.

It can be found at

Dawn, beneath the thunder cloud

Which could quench or drown.

It can be found in

The caress of a loved one,

You won’t see again.

It can be found by

Those who still demand justice

With their voiceless eyes.

It can be found on

The way to tragedy

That makes you giggle.

It can be found when

Time slows to a snails pace, but

Blink and it is gone

It can be found if

You look in the right places

But don’t search too hard.

Please do keep looking

For it though, as it does seem,

We can’t get enough.

Thanks Don... I often write Haiku, and quite often write a number of them on the same subject (the length really seems to fit well with my thought processes) but I had never attempted to string them together like this. Haiku with glue you might say!
