Three Beat Verse

Three Beat Verse

I really am enjoying

Creating three beat verse

Before I write it down

In head I do rehearse

What shall I write about?

My mind, it I do ask

Give me something worthwile

In which my verse can bask

I'm sitting here a'waiting

On what my mind will bring

What a disappointment

Not brought a jolly thing

Yes Mrinmoy you could say this is a poem written about nothing..too hard for my intellectual mind to come up with something brilliant ...?

You didn't write and again you did write!
Both the statements are true in context of the poem! ?

Sometimes we have to go with the flow and wait for some
inspiration to arrive - often from the most unexpected
source, helping to keep us up to speed mentally. To take
up BM's point -
There is a place for a proper discussion/poem about anti-Semitism
but I fear the subject matter has become de rigueur for
many who to use as a means of pushing forward and
maintaining a stance - social or political - that most folk
do not recognise in their own daily lives. If you protest
too much about anything it is likely to be counter-productive and encourage prejudice of the "now what are
they moaning about?" variety - which can apply to other
behaviour in these over-crowded islands. To borrow
from the Bard, it may become a case of "Methinks they doth protest too much". But having said that, it is
certainly a challenge for any poem in mind.

Brian why are you
Inside watching telly
Were you not aware
It's not good for your belly?

(obviously not)

You should be out the house
Where it's nice and sunny
Makin' sure that Tyson
Don't use it for a dunny

Politics is wastin' time
Not woken up to this?
Corbyn it seems is problematic
Give politics a miss

With Tina, Gina, Tyson
No politics round here
They do whate're I tell them
We all then have a beer

A world of fantasy
No politics to fear
No Corbyn anti-Jewites
No hate Brian, and no tear ?

(PS note the 3-beat verse)

Taylor/Jane

I do this sometimes. No set path to take. Unleash the mind, let it go free. See what it comes back with.

"The next time your mind wanders follow it around for a while" Jessica Masterson

I followed your advice Jessica. Mind didn't play ball this time. Ah. can't win 'em all Or was I just playing games with myself and my readers ?.....?

Writing about not knowing what to write about is writing about something! There you go! Well done Don!

Does that make sense? It does when I read it! LOL?

Okay Don, you want a subject to write about?
I'm currently watching a political talk show on which they're discussing anti-semitism in the British Labour Party, by its leader Jeremy Corbyn, and by people in Europe in general. Write about this Don...a straight poem without mentioning Gina, Tina, Froggie, bipolar, or poem construction.

It's a tough assignment Don...think you're up to it?

Thanks Anya.

A rhyme to have a rhythm
It's got to have a plan
The beat has got to be right
We say it's got to scan ?
