Sometimes it's a mistake you make on purpose
a chance you take for something that feels as close to real as anything can

in a world filled with band aid relationships and medication and distraction, layers and layers of falsities behind farcities, love comes off as legitimate.

So that's what it is. The great spiritual motivator: the sapient justifier of our need to procreate. A tacked-on purpose and promise that this chain reaction of neurotransmitters is somehow greater than the sum of its parts.

and maybe that makes it worthwhile
but maybe it doesn't.
