TRANSPORTS OF DELIGHT?

Have you had any thoughts about driverless cars -

And what progress proposes for our beloved jam-jars?

Tootling down the highway with your hands on the wheel

Is something to treasure...something to FEEL!

Look in the mirror - which would you want banished -

The aggressive boot bumper - or a driver that's VANISHED?

Personally, I'd prefer them both out of sight

So I can enjoy my transports of delight!

I find it fascinating, the idea of a driverless car.
First poem I've read about it.
Well done !

MCN the bloody taxis and small buses in MK are bad enough without adding further hazards to negotiate!

Brian - I had a much cherished aunt who married well and
drove a big Jaguar saloon with panache - and from which
she used to yell at tardy pedestrians who got in the way.
I've never underestimated the female behind the wheel!
Graham - I now assume the MK in Milton Keynes stands
for "motoring karma"! I just don't want to be in front of
any such vehicle when things goes awry with Man's
Presumptuous Plan.

My wife's car has a leather strip affixed to the passenger side dashboard...for me to bite on when she drives me anywhere.

Driverless cars are a reality here in Milton Keynes MCN but so far I haven't "bumped" into one yet!
