Donations are essential to keep Write Out Loud going

They step

from the darkness they step

as the light simmers with heat

silhouettes harsh like

statues against the glare

feracious Streets hum,

low pitched as

figures flow, stirring the neon air

shrill notes scatter, wildly

piercing before they fly

vaulting high into the night

Harbingers of death

as the night turns to hell

Hi Damon, thank you for your comments on my poetry. They are very much appreciated. I do read and admire a lot of your poetry too. So just keep on writing, it’s the only way to develop and enhance your own style.

Desmond I look up to most on this platform. If I could make poems half as good as you god that would be great.

You have caught a microcosm of street life beautifully here in a few short but well placed words
Nice one Desmond
