Gosh, I've Just Arrived Here
Gosh I've just arrived here
Welcomed through the door
Not used to your poetic world
(Come from distant shore)
My profile shows my mind
At work, what it can do
I've also put a pic in
So you can see me to
I've also seen a pic
Of one Brian Maryon
He really doesn't scare me
He seems to be quite fun
(Lost my train of thought …Now where was I?)
I can take a while to
Get to understand
Is he joking, is he serious?
How do I take this man?
I'm rough around the edges
(Don't turn around and leave)
I offer compensation
My heart is on my sleeve
I've seen our poems whooshing
Whooshing. Flying by
Miss one? See my profile
Peruse them where they lie
My pen it will write comedy
And verse 'bout sadness, strife
And all the small complexities
Which go to making life
I do not like long poems
I fall asleep halfway
So now I'll go and stop this
And let you go your way
But if perchance you think
I might be worth a follow
Just keep looking out for me
Whooshing down 'blog-hollow'

When some says that rhyme (MC)
Is not real poetry
I roll my eyes and just say
Shakespeare did ... ?
