I fear shadow
And don't allow
It to grow larger
I certainly fear 

I bear pain
And remain disturbed
With thoughts 
I ought to make it right 

As the night approaches
I try to reach 
With thoughts covering you
And I follow through

Why can’t I close on?
And find the option
To remain with you 
I feel this is true 

The key is in your hand
Try to be a real friend
Come to my rescue 
And offer love' due
