I’m not just a small part of your body

I’m more than what you know

I’m a double-edged sword

I’m not cruel, I’m merciful

I’m not mean, I’m honest

I hold the power you can’t control

I translate your thoughts into words

I paint with it to create your world

Shall it be a world of lies and deceptions

Or a world of honesty and truthfulness

Only your words will set the course

For better or worse,  am I a blessing or a curse?
