Speedy construction had a target to meet,

In a month the shop they were building had to be complete.

But they suddenly hit granite and work had to stop,

They had no picks,serious ,no bonus,no shop.

Fortunately they were next door to a toy shop with life sized teddy bears,

Each holding a pick while sat in their chairs.

They asked the toy shop owner if they could borrow the picks,

"Certainly,"he said"as long as they're back by half past six."

They worked for 3 hours and had the job licked,

But while they weren't looking they had their picks nicked.

 

They were all dumfounded when a passer by sang.

"Didn't you know today's the day

The teddy bears had   their picks nicked."
