Yes or No

So many programmes and news feeds tell us that in

our lives, almost anything we do has a marked

detrimental effect on the world around us.

Consumption consumes.  Waste pollutes.  Food has miles.  Clothes

sweat.  Journeys emit.  So we all, collectively,

know this.  However.  Nothing changes.  Mainly, I

think, because we’re largely – individually –

unable to make a difference.  We’ve made it

necessary to eat, clothe ourselves, travel to

work.  No escaping.  Damage is mandatory,

for living in our world.  On that score, given we

are cognisant but helpless, are we innocent?

No one move and nobody (or nothing) gets hurt. Like everything is an old west movie bank heist.

or/but

"HAMLET
Why, then, ’tis none to you, for there is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so." - W.S.

Actions will have an effect but it will be interpolated by individuals differently, as to whether it's good or bad (right or wrong).

Perhaps in time (or to time) it's all irrelevant.

Fun to think over. Thanks August

Hello Rich,
A quandry indeed. Individually the answer must be no but collectively yes. We need government, organisations and science to cope with these many problems as they are certainly detrimental to the planet and our overall well being. From plastic waste to climate change we can only refer to those in power for guidance and solutions.
Thank you Keith
