Home is where the heart is, we say – but how does ‘home’ affect your poetry?

Home, and its inspiration for your writing, is the theme for The Poetry School’s writing workshop to be held on Saturday, 28th November.

The workshop will be led by one of The Poetry School’s most popular teachers – Neil Rollinson, at The Bluecoat School, School Lane, Liverpool, L1 3BX. It will be a full day, starting at 10.30 am and finishing at 4.30pm.

Throughout the day Neil will be looking at how home can inspire poetry; what do we mean by ‘home’? The people, the pets, the things we share our space with; is home heaven or is it hell? Neil will help you explore those resonances in your writing.

You can reserve your place online or by calling 0207 582 1679. The cost of the workshop is £49 (£35 concessions), but some bursaries are available so don’t let the cost put you off. The Poetry School website has details of grants available:
