Everybody knows it is best

     stand still quiet while the rainbow lasts

seeing all times rapt in a moment 

     being slow to jump

to the latest distraction 

     from lines drawn out of fashion

everybody eventually retrieves

     perfectly good heartbeats

long buried amongst all that's fit to dump
