Love Remains

That's one small step hewn out of stone
a plinth for my reaching figure alone

xxx

Beckoning unto one who isn't here
as one not here beckons to me alone

xxx

One giant leap out of all proportion,
one size fits all I understand- am I alone?

xxx

To say it over and over with
flowers; poetry; with moondust or tears alone

Hi Adam, l like this ghazal, got to admit I didn’t know what a ghazal was so googled it. Seems to be a very dramatic form of poetry in tight constraints. I find that very interesting, so thanks for introducing me to them. Really good poem.

All the best des

A rewrite of my previous poem, this time in a form resembling a 'ghazal'.
