elegant frame as the indolent

care nothing for their appearance

Where the unimaginative rub

shoulders with the owners of 

style and fashion

The muscular and handsome

sit alongside the thin and

emaciated

The outrageous and inappropriate

celebrate their individuality

These mingle with the dull and

conformists who sit in uniformity

The followers of fashion

crippling shoes and uncomfortable

attire pose beside maternity wear 

and flowing kaftans

Sandals compete with trainers

with feet aching to be free

Cigarette smokers compete with 

cigars and pipes

Baseball caps a ubiquitous crown

imported from an alien culture

Smiles fuse with sneers

Disdain yeilds to nods of approval

Some strut as others stride

babes in prams, the third age

with frames and wheel chairs

Humanity is rich in its diversity

often concealing yet also revealing
