Bobby's Light

entry picture

Every October look up to the sky.
With telescope or just naked eye.
A meteor shower you might see.
A spectacular display it could be.
If the wind blows all clouds away.
And cloudless the night can stay
Then it will be an awesome sight.
A dazzling show through the night
But don't be fooled, easily misled.
If you see lights, blue, green or red.
They may be radiant, that's no lie.
As they aluminate the Autumn sky.
Remember as to the sky you stare.
To Bobby's light they don't compare!

(for Bobby Colleran who died in a road traffic collision outside his Liverpool school in 2013, he was just 6 years old)

There is a poetry book dedicated to Bobby called Road Safety and Awareness
