Is it any wonder

Abused by your uncle
Abandon by your father
Resented by your mother
Hated by your brother

Forced into religion
Un-answered prayers in question
Hale marry for your penance
Flickering candles burning at mass

Lay silent with your fears
Staring eyes wide open
Educated ignorantly
A vision of white supremacy

A skinhead and a squasticker
Jackbooted philosopher
A union jack flag-waver
You’re the British bulldog biting back

Twisted words and visions
Born of sad beginnings
Fuelled by political apathy
And countless failures in your life

Follow a path of anarchy
Slurred and drunken hostility
A bitter representative of a monarchy
You’ve found your own identity

Is it any wonder?
Is it any wonder?
Is it any wonder?
You are the way you are

Understood. But many have had bitter beginnings and
were determined (and successful) in rising beyond them.
So, whilst there is understanding, there is a sense of loss
for the individual concerned that this was not the case.

A reatelling of an individual's story who had certain ideologies...

The jack-boot never caught on here. You see more of the
bovver boots favoured by the rioting leftie mobs. There
was a notorious front page photo of one such individual
kicking a (held) Pc in the head during the Grosvenor Square
demonstrations of yesteryear. They're still out there,
eager to express their differences of opinion in similar ways under the guise of "protest".
