Out of work in 1979 told to get on our bikes . Redundant for the seventh time . No sign of work and not much time . Our choice had to be the only way to see . Our family of six , not devided . Times were hard and choices very weak . Find somewhere to live and schools to seek . A way of life uncertain . Challenged by people challenged by bullies . Not speaking their twang . Mostly Scouses . Feeling lost missing families . Being lonely  Never listened to . Ignored not used to their way of life . Suffering ill health . No one to turn to . No one to listen nobody cared . Name calling abundant . No claming benefits and no hand outs . Having a parent starting with Dementia . That's what you call having to make do and mend .
