zoetrope

in your hands i am a zoetrope
and as you handle me, and turn me
i make happy images that give the illusion i am in motion
but without you
i am static
i am one and several girls all at once
who feels alone
but when i'm with you
i pretend
because that is the work of a zoetrope
to revolve themselves, around
the one who is in control

a zoetrope is kind of like one of those flick book animations. they are wonderful things. if you google image search the word lots of wonderful pictures come up. i'm glad you liked the poem :)

God, I love this! A lovely metaphor that is developed, but not twisted...and not a cliche in sight.

Bravo!

You are one clever, interesting lady with a mind like a steel trap.
I looked up 'zoetrope' and found only 'wheel of life'. It seems that you have used it as a kind of toy. Would you tell me more?
