It's legitimate to kill a wasp

to remove its presence forever

even though its design provides us

with evidence of flight,

something we humans aspire to

with our superior brain -

but kill we can

and justify it we may

there is no declension

worthy of a mention

and so it must be

that some will sacrifice the children

the stunned and scared

the politically ensnared

and die they will

without wings to fly,

and they do not deserve to die

despite our lofty and good intention.
