Exodus

Exodus

Amidst a slow moving throng

thousands made their way

to protest and express indignation

as another war loomed afar.

Tens of thousands were soon added

as the throng grew and heaved

Bystanders shouted their support

as others stood in silent agreement

A nation on the brink of folly

A nation on the threshold of war

Placards, slogans and yells of rage

Police and press on this human stage

Then I glimpsed one small banner

carried aloft in a stoic manner

¨Thou shalt not kill

was the commandment

Beneath were smaller words which read

¨Is there any part of this you do not understand ?

God had joined this demonstration to express His

Indignation
