A Mountain Journey

A Mountain Journey

From sun, sand and sea

we began our long journey.

Slowly but surely we did climb

an ascent to a different clime.

Through valleys verdant and true

we made our way up and through.

Snaking roads to mountain did cling

with glorious countryside to sing.

From towns, villages and hamlets

through sunshine and rain droplets.

Far from city with its glare

we did stop oft to stare.

Nature in all her majesty

away from all man´s travesty.

Radiant glories with blossom scent

for a while in beauty spent.

with so much ugliness in the world it's good to find time to hang out in the bits of beautiful that still exist. Thanks for taking me there Keith. Was this of a particular place?
