Crowdfunder campaign to publish anthology by deaf and disabled poets

A Crowdfunder campaign to fund an anthology of poetry and essays by D/deaf and disabled poets and writers is three-quarters towards its £2,500 target, with just over two weeks left. Nine Arches Press is aiming to publish Stairs and Whispers, an anthology of poetry, essays, photos and links to accessible online videos, that showcases a diversity of styles, opinions, and survival strategies.

Sandra Alland, Khairani Barokka and Daniel Sluman have co-edited Stairs and Whispers. So far, the two-year project has been part-funded by Arts Council England, and supported in kind by Nine Arches Press. The editors say: “We are paying all contributors and editors, and we are also planning launches and events nationwide later in summer 2017. There will also be substantial digital resources - videos, audio and more. We now just now need a little support to help to get this exciting anthology through the final stages and into print.” You can support the project here
