Oops, sorry Ray, I almost overlooked to thank you for your comment, as always, much appreciated. I like your suggestions. That Edna Cloud, what a daydreamer... anyway, for the time being, I've decided to hang up my innuendo boots, they're almost knackered!

Pretty impressive in a twisted way Paul! It's good how you've presented the idea via questioning thus making it readable. I must admit I've dabbled with names, we probably all have as poets - Edna Cloud/Patty O Doors/Laura Norder/Hortense Dupp, a few to toy with. aythangow!

Thanks Hazel, I really like that one!

But please don't ask me to do a list of fabric names (did Polly Cotton ever sew, did Ivor Needle ever stitch)..???

Thanks Col, glad I gave you a laugh. And what a great idea! There must be loads, but I can only think of popular punky ones, e.g. did Adam Ant ever crawl, did Billy Idol ever sprawl. Oh, God, help me....I need to rest my innuendos?

Hi Paul, I have finally found my way down the long list of excellent blog entries to your equally excellent Name Game Part 2 which I have already read a few times since you posted yesterday. I think your last comment is as funny as the piece itself - I've been jotting these daft names down for a couple of years - get a life man! No really, keep 'em coming, don't ever stop jotting them down because Oliver Seddon-Oops off I go again! genuinely made me laugh out loud.

I can't help thinking a punk version would be fun for there were lots of silly performers names - did Poly Styrene ever squeak? for example. Or did Ari Up ever arrive? Sadly both now dearly departed and much missed.

Cheers pal.

Thanks Juan Pablo, I'm so pleased that you liked it so much and thanks again for liking Part 1, too. I've been jotting these daft names down for a couple of years, I can't think why but last week, all of a sudden (Oliver Seddon...oops, off I go again!), I got the idea to make rhymes out of them. I'm really chuffed that you and so many others have enjoyed the humour! Thanks again, Paul
