Pain to Paper

I put my pain to paper,

Like a spider spins her web,

I put my pain to paper,

White, black, blue, and red.

Thin and delicate it crawls from my hand,

To dance upon the desk,

It looks back up,

It's not enough,

To my dismay and dry unrest,

I put my pain to paper

From from whats left

To write it down

I put my pain to paper

As a worm buries into the ground

Clumsy and blind it falls from my fingers

To feel through the dark

It wiggles and squirms

And with fear it curls

To my cry and spry alarm

I put my pain to paper

Like an Octopus squirts her ink

I put my pain to paper

In a spill in which I can't think

The dark, sticky, fluid, it leaks from my palm

To creep upon the page

The words I drink

In my thoughts I sink

Inside my head it's a rolling rage

I put my pain to paper

Like a smolder strikes the sky

I put my pain to paper

As an ember rise up on high

Between my thumb and figure

I strike a match, not a great idea

I light a corner

reading the smoke I morn,

It's my human nature burns the paper clear

I like this too Alexander and enjoyed the word play as Jemima pointed out. However I think there is room for tightening up or perhaps shortening. All the best and thanks for posting. Colin
