The Parenthesized

entry picture

Your green eyes are shining in the night of my mind
Thoughts are fading away with the dawn of your smile
Words are sailing away, papers are turning back to trees
And God is lighting his cigarette with thunder while scribbling my fate

God is a poet, I think and his words are people
But I'm parenthesized, that's why you can't read me
Stuck in arrogant sentences or thrown to the end
That's the reason why you and (I) can never be written together

Now bad things keep falling and falling like lined dominoes
There is a mirror at the end, it always tells lies, wants me to be dormant
And my eyelids are getting heavy as the sun is leaving the sky I know that if I sleep,
I'm going to die but I want to dream, in everlasting peace...
