REFUGEE

First find a boat that stays afloat

When you leave the land God gave you;

Then give thanks for the helping ranks

Of hands reaching out to save you.

The life that's sought may not be bought

For all the money you tender,

But beggars can't be choosers

And such living needs a lender -

To pay its way from day to day

Until back up and running...

To slowly discover new rewards

With some care and cunning.

It may not happen the way you hope

Or where you planned to be,

But patience and the way you cope

May achieve what you seek to see.
