shards--miles to go...

Disremembered fragments like

mirrored phantom limbs dangling

animated in wait

to catch a sideways glance

from the lone traveller

disappear into retrospection

and oblivion by negation...

In silent reckoning

do yet unseen things

take form in vast opening

hollowed sockets.

Hey, Martin. That's a quite crucial part of the piece. I wanted to suggest that we necessarily become integral to some experiences in such a manner that we are not easily extricated from them. Sometimes, they simply take on an existence of their own--apart from us--yet never are fully separated.

I thank you, sir, for commenting.

Hello, Ray and Stu,

Thanks so much. I get the feeling this one needs a little trimming, but I put it up anyway.

The last verse sorta leaves an open ending..glad you liked it, Stu. And, Ray, that isn't the first mention of Bruce Lee in your comments about my stuff. I was curious and found a clip last evening..

"Destroy the image and you will break the enemy"--now that's a great line.

Thanks again,

While reading this elP I thought straight away of the Bruce Lee mirror scene . A very uncomfortable and fascinating read as you have caught a fleeting threat it seems that cannot be pinned down. This hazy journeying seems to be a recurring theme and always a interesting and informative in a mystical way. Wonderful last line ..

Ray
