This year’s Forward prize winner, Vahni Capildeo, pictured, has been named on the shortlist for the £20,000 TS Eliot prize. Four other poets who were shortlisted for Forward prizes – Ian Duhig, Alice Oswald, Denise Riley, and Ruby Robinson – are also on the TS Eliot shortlist. The list also includes Rachael Boast, JO Morgan, Bernard O’Donoghue, Jacob Polley, and Katharine Towers - and five of the 10 poets are published by Picador.. The TS Eliot judges this year are Ruth Padel (chair), Julia Copus, and Aslan Gillis. The prize was launched by the Poetry Book Society in 1993, but is now run by a new charity, the TS Eliot Foundation. More details
