The Proposal(to the tune of "Bicycle made for two)

THE PROPOSAL

Downtown Jo-burg, in a small café,

Joe's proposing, he doesn't know what to say.

He stutters and then he stammers,

his heart is beating hammers.

At last his tongue becomes undone,

He says "Please will you wed me, May?"

May's ecstatic, she's clapping her hands with joy.

She can't believe it, married to Joe Malloy!

They're hugging and then they're kissing,

their hearts and ears are singing.

"When we are wed, we'll buy a bed,

and the first is a baby boy."

Blue for junior, pink for a little girl.

Him like Daddy, her with a golden curl.

We don't want a Lambourgini,

we'll settle for a Mini.

A chair or two for me and you,

and our life will be one big whirl!"

Cute. I even sang my way through it.
