RECYCLING IDEAS

I'm dedicating my entire anthology

to a local recycling centre

for casual perusal

with no risk of refusal.

Their recycling pathology

is ultlmately discreet,

no painful analysis

no creative paralysis,

and nature itself may benefit

from the material mentioned

compacted in the greedy grateful

unfeeling ground

or in the incinerating sky

that's after all the spiritual home

the destination of the ultimate goodbye.

elP , the stuff I threw out was basically musical ramblings! The phenomenon of tunes in the head can be really troubling, but Paul McCartney could never read nor write music. Because I played so long I never got much plagued by tune recurrence. It is a lifelong quest to commit the magic of music to paper and then to have it played properly - I feel safer now in the arms of poetry.
Try and record your tunes vocally onto an MP3 device, you never know....

Ray..you throw away your music?! I hear melodies and more sometimes in the twilight before sleep and have always wanted to be able to transcribe them into notes..oh, that it were as easy as putting words onto paper.

Maybe your timely comment will prevent my impulsive trip in the nick of time Harry. I did actually throw away a load of original hand written orchestral music that I knew no one would ever take on. Even more obscure !!
Thanks for reading.

Ray,
My own way of dealing with this is to snobbishly sniff and tell myself that the world doesn`t deserve my stuff anyway.

(It doesn`t help really...not even myself)
