Black Lives ✊

They Say The Blacker The Berry The Sweeter The Juice

But Where I Come From They Killing Us Because Of Our Roots

They Hate Us Because Our Melanin Is Poppin

So Each && Everyday Black Bodies Is Droppin

Bullets Ringing , Bloody Streets , Camera Flashes , A Million Eyes

But No One To Blame When A Black Man Died

Pointed Fingers , Teary Eyes && A Ear Filled With Lies

Excuses Of Why Another Black Man Deserved To Die

When Will Enough Be Enough ?

Black Lives Are Just Diamonds In The Rough

No Justice Or No Peace

Just Hate Filled Police Terrorizing Our Streets

They Say To Love My Color But Whats To Love When They Act As If We Don't Matter

This World Is Just A Place Where All Black Lives Shatter

White lives, black lives, hispanic lives, indigenous native lives...all are in the mix in that huge country. As for statistics produced by any newspaper, corroboration is
relevant, especially when figures demonstrating levels
of crime originating from any one ethnic origin are not
mentioned. If the prison population of America has a
disproportionate number of inmates from the black
and hispanic populations then that leads to the question
"why so?". Statistics need balanced attention to
achieve a proper fully informed spectrum of public
awareness when lives are lost in encounters between
law officers and those they face in their duties.

History is certainly there to teach us in so many ways.
The failure of human nature to learn from it is well
documented and will continue to be a cause for concern
in numerous areas of human conduct. Every country and
society has its social responsibilities and legal framework
to work within and the USA, with its huge population,
constantly shifting levels and high expectations,
has more problems than most. But to seize individual
instances as an ongoing wholesale dismissal of one
large section of the population is likely to exacerbate
division rather than contain it and construct a future for
all. As far as "Black Lives Matter" - what of the obvious
and numerous instances of black figures of authority and
influence who are the evidence of that reality?
It has been observed elsewhere that it should be "Lives Matter" - and why not? since that is an important
inclusion of the many origins it does not deign to
mention but who do not take to the streets in pursuit
of often violent redress for perceived grievances about
which the participants seem to act without possession
of the full facts. Human nature, being what it is, this
emotive public reaction may be understandable but it is not excusable in the interests of social cohesion or
clear eyed justice. Indeed, it can undermine both...
in no one's long term interests.
That's how I see it - wherever you happen to live.
