A day with no tears
Comes close to ending
I should let them flow

Lovely poem. It draws the reader into its mood quickly and leaves the question hanging perfectly at the end

The roots of this tree are steadfast and sturdy enough to with-hold the flood Carol. Let it flow and nurture the trunk and branches. The leaves will take care of themselves.
