Donations are essential to keep Write Out Loud going

Heard this happened. Who knows.

They ran wild in woods

Full of bears

And carried bells

And pepper spray

To keep the bears at bay

They knew no fear

The road was clear

Safety a written rule

They laughed and frolicked

And mocked the wild life

with their bells

And hid behind

Their pepper

Until one day

Invited to stay

At a vets on the hill

In weather a

little drizzly

He operated on a

Big deceased grizzly

And looking out

the view became

a little less sure

Inside his stomach

Holy Hell

Was bell upon bell

And his mighty gob

stank of pepper.

clever, clever..this reminded me of Shel Silverstein's "The Lion Who Shot Back"..I used to get great joy reading it aloud to my son, describing how funny the hunter's caps tasted.

Thanks for the laugh.
