Lunar Eclipse 28.9.15

entry picture

Many times have I watched

a big red sun

as it slowly sets on the horizon

but never before had I seen

a big red moon

until the night we stayed awake

lying in bed

gazing through open curtains

till 3.30

in awe

at the magic

and as we watched

no telescopes necessary

the eclipse reach totality

we saw the moon

become a

spectacular red sphere

a once in a lifetime

experience.

Thank you Trish and Stef - most people would have been fast asleep at 3.30 in the morning! But not you two, hey? Ha ha ha.

Well, not us either, actually but by that time it was hard staying awake.

Ever thought of changing your window cleaner? ;o)

Lynn, how dare we have missed this one!

We think it's because we were doing 'something' at the time,on both occasions.

Having pornographic memories of 28/9/15 we recall that because of the 'something' we were doing on that date,at that time our curtains had to be closed.

Well! you don't think we were going to give the window cleaner a free show,do you!? ;o) ;o)

Fortunately, while we were doing 'something' last night
we didn't need the 'coitins' closed because we don't think he cleans windows at night.

And anyway, because it isn't a pretty sight, its likely WE would have to have paid him to watch!

What a lovely thing to have seen-
the Moon we mean!

Lynne,
a nice expression of gratitude for an experience.

And one where the picture (and its size) really enhances the poem.
