Kneeling

to pray

to change a fuse

to say you are my lord

to say you are my lady

to change channels

to be honoured, and

to give honour

to make love, new way

to exercise

to be married

to be executed

to live

to die

we may kneel

Beside the bed of a dying friend

or pleading, begging for mercy

we may kneel

To be vulnerable

To be blessed

we may kneel

To find what is lost,

To lose ourselves

we may kneel

To weed our gardens

To weed our lives

we may kneel

In strength and in weakness

In pride and in meekness

we may kneel

To bandage legs

To care for feet

To care for those who cannot kneel

We may also kneel

To stroke a pet, enjoy a fire

To clean a floor,

To beg, to implore

To let a child climb on our shoulders

To climb on shoulders unseen

We may kneel

only fond ►

I have read this several times Dave...
Each time I get so much more from it...
Produces many images and thoughts...

So did I. Love the simplicity... yet it says so much.
