The soldier ten years old,
Has the dereliction of their lives
By western world clandestine,
Ever opened eyes?..................

Hi Mike,
this series of ''open'' has a lot of hidden depth but is also filled with the ignorance that comes with closing the mind, heart and eyes to what's happening in the world.
The same can be said for much of what goes on in this country too, which is most likely the reason for the state of it at present.
We have the right to vote but do we have the right to say with true freedom of speech what we really think without upsetting someone or rocking the boat.
I might have gone off track a little here but that's the effect your work has on me. It makes me think about the bigger issues.
Trouble is, the bigger issues all start with something small and grow out of proportion so perhaps that is the way we need to deal with making it better, by starting to do something positive in a small way and help it grow.
