Flirting

Attention without intention

And the heart is worth so much more

Than to be bound in such detention

Or to be counted another notch or score.

A time in life comes to raise one’s eyes

Away from such an ugly scene

A wall against the dancefloor lies

To achieve and acquire a beautiful dream

So rise above such squalid invention

It’s just flirting

Attention without intention.

Of all your poems, my favourite - a simple message delivered beautifully.

Such a contrast to your last poem. It seems inconceivable that the same poet could have penned the two. I like this one.

On my way out the door, but had to comment on this one...
Love it Sebastian... especially the first verse : )
