(The toy they wanted us all to be)

Mummy and Daddy bought me a new toy.
The perfect companion for a little boy”
They say he is “strong, courageous and brave” 
That he does everything the “right” type of way.
They say I can learn a lot from him
“Look at his big muscles and strong chin”.

They say he is a “real Action Man”
No more ‘girly’ influence, at least thats the plan.
But I need to cry, love, cuddle and touch.
But for a “Real Action Man” this is too much?
Pops said:” emotions are a weakness to abuse,
They are simply for barbies and mother goose
For real men there is no excuse to use, 
Other than to seduce, and of course, reproduce.”

They wanted me to be hollow like the toy,
The last obstacle separating men from boys,
Ha, but it is us men who are childishly poised,
Devoid of emotional development since we were boys.
