I was Young

I saw with disregard this gloom that dawned on me

With youthful bliss and innocence

I fooled myself to faith and hope in hopelessness

I saw yet I chose not to see

A chance to go came not just once or twice but more

I just ignored them pass me by

Consumed by pride and ego I have just ignore

That clouds of gray have shut my eye

Now here I am at lost with nowhere else to go

As much as I want to return

I know that I could not but rather just forgo

Now is the time for me to turn

To go elsewhere I’ve never been

To see a sight I’ve never seen

As being a younger site user I see very mature writing material here. It has kinks, however those can be all worked out. This piece in particular is very powerful. In fact as a music artist myself I see potential for maybe even a piece of contemporary music. A few alterations of the words, maybe put it into more relatable context for the public and you might have yourself a real piece of art!
